In September 2017  GASSAN celebrated her 50th anniversary as a business partner of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The first Diamond shop opened  in 1967. Presently, GASSAN operates 14 shops with 200 employees at Schiphol. GASSAN is honoured to have received several awards for hospitality and service. GASSAN stands for diamonds, jewelry and luxury watches. For more than 75 years the brand represents fair trade, proven quality, trustworthiness and service.

Today we offer more than 80 major watches- and jewelry brands at Schiphol. There is a wide choice of diamond jewelry and even loose diamonds which can be placed in a ring, pendant or any setting of your choice by our inhouse goldsmith while you wait.

Since 2013 the trade of diamond cuttting is acknowledged as intangible heritage. This trade is practised in our GASSAN Diamonds factory in the center of Amsterdam. GASSAN Diamonds uses conflict free diamonds. All diamonds have been purchased from legitimate sources which are not involved in funding conflicts and in compliance with the United Nations resolutions.

In October 1945, the Dutch diamond trader, Samuel Gassan, the grandfather of the  present managing director Benno Leeser, established GASSAN Diamonds. At het beginning of 2013, the company became the first winner of the ‘Family owned business award’, partly due to its positive response to the recession of 2009. The jewelry branch as well as the Wholesale and Retail trade in diamonds stayed the course and witnessed record turnovers in 2011 and 2012. A year later, the GASSAN diamonds cutting facility welcomed a record number of over 400,000 visitors with approximately 30% from Asia.

GASSAN stands for diamonds, jewelry and luxury watches. For more than 75 years the brand represents fair trade, proven quality, trustworthiness and service.
